Aquenal is a team of scientists with specialist expertise in the assessment of marine, estuarine and freshwater environments. Our services cover environmental analysis and management – including impact assessments, field surveys and compliance monitoring, threatened species and biodiversity management, and marine and freshwater taxonomy.

Aquenal was formed in the mid-1990s to meet the needs of an expanding marine farming industry in Tasmania. Since that time, Aquenal has evolved as a business and is now regarded as a leading service provider in the field of marine environmental analysis and consultancy.

Aquenal’s study environments include the coastal foreshore, estuaries, freshwater and both nearshore and offshore areas of the marine environment. We have undertaken projects at sites from tropical through to temperate environments of Australia.
